Star of Sedona is Hiring a Property Manager Near Sedona, AZ

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee two premium vacation rental units within a distinguished property in the heart of Sedona, celebrated for its five-star rating on VRBO. This role is perfect for someone who is meticulous, guest-oriented, and capable of maintaining the highest standards of property management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transition the operational workload from the owner, who is looking to step back after many successful years, to ensure both relaxation for her and continued excellence in guest service.
  • Optimize property management practices to achieve full occupancy and impeccable guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise on-site staff, evaluating their performance and fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Establish and maintain positive, lasting relationships with guests, enhancing their stay and encouraging repeat visits.
  • Implement strategic marketing efforts to fill vacancies and increase visibility in a competitive market.
  • Craft and oversee the property's annual budget, utilizing data analysis to meet and exceed financial objectives.
  • Regularly update the procedures manual in collaboration with the owner, ensuring the property's operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Efficiently source and manage contractors, ensuring timely and high-quality maintenance and repairs to uphold our exceptional standards.
  • Be prepared for errand running and occasional driving duties as part of the varied role. Sometimes to Scottsdale driving owner’s car.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A solid track record in property or office management, preferably within the vacation rental or hospitality industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial aspects of property management, including budgeting and expense control.
  • Familiarity with the legal and regulatory landscape of property management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and familiarity with leading online booking platforms, VRBO and Airbnb.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage positively with guests and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Independent problem-solving skills, with a capacity to make informed decisions without constant supervision.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree is highly regarded but not mandatory.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in office or property management.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach, with a focus on achieving tangible outcomes rather than mere discussion.
  • A sense of humor and the ability to handle constructive criticism with a positive attitude.
  • Residency within a 30-minute commute of Sedona, with the city of residence clearly stated on the resume or cover letter.
  • Availability for on-call emergency situations.
  • Own a reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Own a personal computer and cell phone for remote and emergency communications.
