Description

Our team is seeking a Sales Representative to be responsible for managing the flooring installation process for new construction builds in the Tulsa area. The ideal candidate will have flooring experience as well as strong work plan development and progress oversight skills. They will prepare and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Manage Accounts:

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Generate new business, products and/or services to offer key accounts.
• Identify and keep pulse on regional activity, look for opportunities to enter market.
• Update product offerings for outside design centers.
• Work with Product and Design on challenges that arise between vendors and trending products.

Oversee the scheduling books:

• Manage scheduling for key accounts, to understand what is in pipeline.
• Reconcile schedule with key accounts and installation. 
• Obtain variances in a timely manner. Work with key accounts to resolve.

Installation:

• Maintain strong working relationships with builders, general contractors, installers, and Star support teams.
• Manage expectations and constraints regarding requests, timing, availability, and other factors.
• Identify solutions and make decisions required to effectively and quickly solve problems to ensure deliver of an on-schedule & quality installation.
• Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, conduct inspections, and ensure work quality standards are met.
• Monitor multiple projects, change course direction quickly, while still maintaining on—time, quality work product.

Requirements

• Previous construction project management experience.
• Knowledge of and experience in flooring & tile products.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail, solid organizational, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work in a demanding environment.
• Strong knowledge of basic computer and software to include Microsoft and ability to learn internal software programs.
• Possess a current drivers’ license.

This position will regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk on unleveled ground, stand, bend, stoop, and climb.
