Inside Sales Assistant:

Star Foods, Inc. has been in the business of buying excess, off-spec & package changes directly from manufacturers and redistribute them for resale to institutions, discount retailers, and other food processors for over 40 years. Our wide database of end-user customers allows us to move their merchandise quickly and efficiently. We are seeking motivated individuals to help us in our continued growth.

Job Description:

The Sales Support/assistant will aid our sales department by way of synchronizing efforts with other departments in the organization, facilitating in reconnecting with existing & new accounts, and open communication with current contacts and prospective buyers in our selling process. These operations include the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Assist in removing obstacles that may exist between our sales team and connecting with prospective clients and accounts.
• Project competency and confidence in dealing with prospective clients and accounts.
• Continuously call new prospects & connect over the phone and via email.
• Assist with scheduling calls between the sales team and prospective client/account.
• Document calls & emails in our CRM for short- and long-term customer support.
• Assist with logistical and other office duties as needed.
• Works closely with coworkers and other staff members

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including ownership, management & customers.
• Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.
• A self-starter who can multi-task, with an awareness of deadlines
• Previous experience working in food distribution is preferred.
• Previous CRM/Database experience preferred.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint)
• Quick to pick up on basic office items (phones, computers, etc.)

Reports to: Sales Manager/Ownership

• Hourly Bonus structure after 12 months
