STAR CONSTRUCTION is Hiring an Analyst Safety Near Knoxville, TN

Overview and Essential Functions

OverviewPosition is responsible for timely and accurate reporting of all safety, claims and fleet data to include (but not limited to) incident reports, return to work reports, post incident safety alerts, fuel reports, usage and value reports, other DOT-required reports, safety data collection and analysis. Must be able to enter all required information into various and sometimes changing systems. Must be able to take data from multiple sources and compile it into actionable information.

What you’ll do…

● Establishes processes for end to end workflow that takes all available data from all sources and reports it timely and accurately.● Identifies trends in data and reports them to appropriate stakeholders.● Constantly manages and monitors all data sources to maximize proper reporting and communication.● Enhances existing processes and innovates new ways to better utilize all available data.● Supports Operations across multiple Star Construction locations in multiple states that perform multiple types of work.● Proactively identifies and resolves potential issues before they become problems.● Leads efforts to gather and report data.● Prepare specialist reports, root cause analysis, assessments and action plans based on data collection.● Overcomes problems with systems and data to best maintain timely and accurate information flow.● Reports on predetermined program level KPIs and assists to develop new and meaningful KPIs.● Participates in periodic team meetings and maintains daily communications (both verbal and electronic) with Fleet and Safety Management to keep them apprised of incoming information.● Drives standardized process down through all safety and fleet reporting.● Assist with identifying trends for purposes of developing mitigation strategies to reduce frequency and severity of occurrences.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for…

● Expert at working with raw data from multiple sources and formats and outputting actionable information from it.● Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills and techniques, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. Ability to write clear, concise and direct narrative and reports as well as dashboards or other visual representations of data.● Customer-oriented, a positive, team-oriented and collaborative attitude, flexibility, an understanding of the business issues driving the safety and fleet programs, and solid work ethic are expected.

● Proficient in statistical analysis.● Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Drive.● MSAccess or other relational database proficiency highly preferred.● Expert in MS Excel and PowerBI● Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance● Problem solver● Excellent communications skills

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. May require walking primarily on alevel surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, belowthe waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials through the work day.Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computerprintouts on occasion.The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the construction areaswhere under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safetyglasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection, and/or steel toed shoes. Primaryenvironment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in atypical office environment.Applicants are required to pass all company drug testing, submit to a background check andadhere to all OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements and training provided by thecompany as required.
