We are looking for a full-time Marketing Manager for our US West region to provide marketing leadership and strategic expertise to establish Stantec’s desired market position, develop strong, lasting relationships with business and marketing leaders and key clients, find market opportunities and create winning proposal submissions/presentations and communications in the pursuit of specific project opportunities. Role Overview

Reporting directly to the US West Marketing Director, and with a strong alliance to the business line leadership, the Marketing Manager provides marketing management and strategic expertise to the regional leadership team to ensure understanding of the region’s strategic direction, and to develop and deliver the annual integrated marketing and business development plan to achieve the region’s financial and market leadership goals. Through a team of marketing professionals, the Marketing Manager works with regional/local leadership and practitioners to establish the desired market position within the region, identify market opportunities, and create winning proposal submissions/presentations and communications in the pursuit of specific project opportunities.

The role also includes working with a larger Stantec team of Marketing, Business Development, Public Relations, and Communications professionals to build our brand awareness and identify market opportunities for top line growth.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Marketing Director and leadership team to set the marketing and communications vision for the region/sector and build a proficient, highly skilled team through proactive recruitment, guidance, supervision, and overall performance measurement of the regional team.
  • Manage, grow, and coach team leaders and individual contributors as part of a direct report structure.
  • Lead and build a sales culture with a focused effort on the most relevant, innovative opportunities for growth and revenue generation.
  • Engage with regional business line leadership to drive top line growth by partnering in account management and business planning development across regions/business lines.
  • Partner with business line leadership to action annual business plans, corporate campaigns, and strategic initiatives across regions/business lines.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with business leadership (e.g. regional, practice, account, and business development leaders).
  • Collaborate with region/sector Marketing partners and the PR and Digital Marketing teams on key pursuits, promotional activities, and positioning campaigns.
  • Serve as brand champion for Stantec, including our Marketing and communication materials, systems, and platforms.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development best practice.
  • Detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
  • Ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients, internally and externally.
  • Commitment to client service and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent interviewing, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge in the use of desktop publishing software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong presentation skills in small or large group environments, with proficiency in presentation support tools (e.g., PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a senior marketing role in a medium to large-sized organization
  • 2-5 years of supervisory experience required.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • $114,400 - $171,600 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI
  • $122,700 - $184,100 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WA
  • SF Area $131,000 /CA Other Areas $114,400 - SF Area $196,600 /CA Other Areas $171,600 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

  • Washington state employees are eligible to accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked except for Seattle employees who accrue sick leave in accordance with the city’s paid sick leave law.

The benefits information listed above may not apply to union positions because benefits for such positions are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements.
