Your Opportunity
We are actively seeking a Job Captain for our Commercial / Industrial Architecture Studio. Our team provides design and permitting solutions to a variety of project types. Our professionals create design solutions that meet the multi-faceted needs of clients, developers, and jurisdictions. The Commercial Architecture group services all phases of a project including site analysis and planning, conceptual design, securing planning approvals and permits, preparing construction drawings and specifications, and bidding and project management services. Our structure cultivates career growth and provides opportunities as unique as you are.
You will work on tasks under the guidance of a Senior Designer or Architect. This is an intermediate level Architect-in-training design role. You will be designing schematics specialized in space programming and site planning as well as developing elevations, sections, and architectural details for projects. You will be assisting with innovative and creative new prototypes, designed with sustainable products with green architecture sensibility as your goals. Project sectors served include Automotive, Banking, Civic, Higher Education, Historic, Hospitality, Industrial, Mixed Use, Restaurant, Retail, Science Technology and Work Place.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture plus 5-7 years of related experience
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
