Our company is an international, multidisciplinary firm, providing services to a wide base of clients across the globe. Our environmental group in Florida is seeking an “as needed” Audio Visual Designer to join our Team. Our group is dedicated to managing the environmental components of projects for Federal, State and local agency clients, primarily within the South Florida region, with a heavy focus on transportation projects. We provide our clients with a wide range of services including natural resource assessments and permitting, NEPA compliance and document preparation, Phase I contamination assessments, permit compliance oversight during construction, ecosystem restoration design and construction, environmental planning and design services, and sea level rise analyses.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a multi-skilled Audio Visual Designer to perform technical duties to film and direct videos including post-production editing. Our Audio Visual Designer will work independently and collaboratively with a team of graphic designers, environmental scientists and natural resource experts to deliver videos and graphics for various topics to meet the needs of our clients. Stantec offers a flexible work environment, and we are open for this role to be based remotely.

Your Key Responsibilities

Candidate responsibilities will primarily include:

• Camera operation

• Drone operation

• Audio

• Still Photography

• Studio setup

• Directing

• Post-Production Editing

The candidate will be work remotely with the flexibility to capture video in a field setting necessary to support the deliverable. Preferred candidates will have experience with a variety of audio-visual equipment and post-production software.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain Stantec’s high standard of quality control and quality assurance.

• Identify and resolve problems in creative ways.

• Communicate regularly with the project manager and your supervisor to ensure that project schedules are met.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Attention to detail and strong organizational and task scheduling skills.

• Willingness and ability to learn new systems and skills

• Must be disciplined and motivated in producing high-quality deliverables.

• An affinity for working in a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, scientists, and Subject Matter Experts with the ability to work independently, dependably, and efficiently

• Must be able to effectively interact directly with clients in a professional manner.

• Ability to work in harsh and demanding field environments.

• A valid driver’s license and ability to drive corporate vehicles

Education and Experience

• 3-5 years of audio-visual experience.

• Candidates must have a relevant technical degree in cinematography, graphic design, or a closely related field. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to travel to field locations including some overnight stays on a project-by-project basis.

• Salary is commensurate with level of experience and qualification.
