JOB PURPOSE:
Stanford University Press (SUP) seeks an Editorial Assistant to support and work in collaboration with two Acquisitions Editors on publishing programs in history, Jewish studies, and business. This role is responsible for essential tasks within the manuscript development process, including coordinating peer review, overseeing permissions, and preparing final manuscripts for production. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, demonstrated attention to detail, and be intellectually engaged and curious, with an excitement for books and publishing.
This is a junior-level position, designed as a first step into scholarly acquisitions. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter explaining your interest in working in publishing at SUP and a resume.
Founded in 1892, Stanford University Press publishes 140 books a year across the humanities, social sciences, and business. This position will work in SUP’s offices located in Redwood City, CA.

The expected pay range for this position is $21.63 to $24.93 per hour.
