Job Title: SBMS Protective Attendant

Job Summary:
The Protection Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of individuals. As a Protective Attendant, you will utilize your specialized training and skills to mitigate potential risks, provide physical protection, ensure confidentiality, and possess excellent communication skills. This demanding role requires excellent situational awareness and ability to respond effectively, exceptional discretion, judgment and integrity and the ability to deliver an after-action report both verbally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities:
Personal Protection: Provide close personal protection to the assigned client, constantly making their safety and security your top priority while working.
Threat Assessment: Conduct comprehensive threat assessments to identify and analyze potential risks or vulnerabilities to the client's safety.
Security Planning: Develop and implement effective security plans, protocols, and procedures to mitigate identified risks and protect the client.
Travel Security: Coordinate and oversee secure travel arrangements for the client, including transportation, accommodations, and logistical support.
Surveillance and Intelligence: Maintain a high level of situational awareness through surveillance, intelligence gathering, and monitoring of potential threats or suspicious activities.
Emergency Response: React swiftly and effectively to security breaches, emergencies, or crisis situations, employing appropriate defensive tactics and protocols.
Team Coordination: Collaborate with other members of the security team to ensure seamless execution of protection operations and maintain effective communication channels.
Physical Fitness: Maintain a high level of physical fitness to meet the demanding physical requirements of the job.
Professional Conduct: Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when representing the client or the organization.
Training and Development: Continuously update and enhance your skills and knowledge through mandatory training, certification and recertification and professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years of age.
Must be willing to participate in the SBMSecurity pre-employment screening process including drug testing, medical clearance, fitness testing (physical and behavioral) and background investigations.
Must have a reliable means of contact and communication (email and cell phone)
Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private) and a valid driver’s license. Ten or more points on your driver’s license or a DUI is an automatic disqualification.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States of America
Must have the ability to speak, read and write in English.
Must not have been convicted of any felony;
Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanor involving a theft-related offense, drug offense, or moral turpitude within the last seven (7) years and
a.) There are no more than two of such misdemeanors during such person’s lifetime and
b.) No misdemeanor conviction occurred during or a result of employment in a security, law enforcement or military capacity
Must not have been, as a juvenile, adjudicated delinquent for conduct which, if committed by an adult would constitute a felony, unless and until that person has reached his or her twenty-first birthday;
If served in the armed forces, must not have been dishonorably discharged;
Must not currently be a member or employee of any law enforcement organization (as defined ty the Council of Police Training);
Must meet and maintain the qualifications set and approved by the Board of Examiners of Private Investigators and Private Security Agencies and StandByMe Security LLC.
Medical Requirements: The duties of these positions require moderate to arduous physical exertion. The following medical requirements apply to all applicants: good near and distant vision, ability to distinguish basic colors, and ability to hear the conversational voice. Applicants and employees must have the capacity to perform the essential functions of the position without risk to themselves or others. In most instances, a specific medical condition or impairment will not automatically disqualify an applicant or employee. A medical condition or impairment is disqualifying only if the condition, for good medical reason, precludes assignment to or warrants restriction from the duties of the specific position. Drug use policy: SBMSecurity has a zero-tolerance drug use policy and employees agree to submit to random drug testing.
Alcohol use policy: No SBMSecurity employee may consume alcohol within 8 hours of duty. Employees agree to testing for the presence of alcohol when reporting for duty.
Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform under stressful situations.
Excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to think critically in dynamic environments.
Exceptional situational awareness and the ability to assess and mitigate risks and multi-task effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and external stakeholders.
Training in defensive tactics and CPR and First Aid certification.
Familiarity with communication devices and computers.
Knowledge of local security protocols, laws, and regulations.
Valid driver's license, clean driving record.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Ability to represent one’s self and SBMSecurity in a professional manner at all times publicly and privately, including but not limited to, all forms of social media.
Willingness to travel within the State of Delaware and work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
