Position Overview

Under the direction of the Clinical Research Manager the Biostatistician will be responsible for designing studies, analyzing data, interpreting the results, and contributing to our research projects’ statistical methods. This position offers exciting opportunities to work in collaborative environment, leveraging statistical expertise to drive innovation in clinical research.

Functions

  • Analyze and interpret data using appropriate statistical techniques, ensuring the accuracy, validity, and reliability of results.
  • Develop statistical methods for retrospective studies and working with large datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement statistical methodologies for clinical studies, including sample size determination, randomization schemes, and statistical analysis plans.
  • Provide statistical input in the development and review of study protocols, method validations, and other study-related documents.
  • Develop and validate statistical models to support clinical study endpoints including regression analysis, and longitudinal data analysis.
  • Generate statistical analysis reports, presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Contribute to the writing and reviewing of reports, and publications, ensuring statistical accuracy and integrity.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of statistical practices within the team by staying current with advances in biostatistics methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in statistical analyses and reporting.

Shift

  • 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, or as job responsibilities require

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years demonstrated experience using statistical software such as SAS, R, or Python.
  • At least 2 years of experience in biostatistical analysis, preferably in a research or healthcare setting.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience in applying statistical methods in a clinical research setting.
  • Solid understanding of clinical trial design, protocols, and regulatory requirements as well as strong understanding of statistical methods used in epidemiological studies is preferred.
  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions based on statistical analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex statistical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
