We are seeking a Sterile Processing Educator to join the Perioperative team. The Sterile Processing Educator will evaluate and implement educational programs for the CSP department, continuously assess activities of CSP personnel regarding preparation of packaging, sterilization, decontamination, stocking and delivery of instruments and equipment. The Educator is responsible for developing unit specific competencies, training and performance management planning for the department. This role works collaboratively with the Leadership Team to implement recommended changes and support the departmental goals of quality service and excellent customer service.

Significant portions of daily assignments involve prolonged standing, transporting material & equipment, or lifting, moving, or carrying moderately heavy (over 20 pounds) for intermittent periods throughout the day.

Required Skills
1) High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
2) IAHCSMM or CRCST certification required
3) 7 years of central processing experience, preferably within a hospital setting required
4) Previous experience as an Educator or Manager in Sterile Processing

5) Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) and Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) certifications highly desirable
