Job Overview

Senior Programmatic Media Strategist Do you thrive in the fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of digital media buying? Are you down with DSP, CDP, CTV, GDPR, DV360 and acronyms not even heard of yet? Do “Early Adopters” come ask you what the next big ad tech is? Are you that perfect mix of left and right brain, bringing data-driven smarts to creative solutions? Sounds like you should be a Senior Programmatic Media Strategist at Colle McVoy. In this role you’ll collaborate with internal media and client teams to guide digital media investment strategy and lead programmatic digital campaign execution.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with media planning teams to inform strategic digital programmatic media recommendations 
  • Lead programmatic media buying for multiple clients across video, display native, digital OOH and other relevant ad units/channels
  • Perform “hands on keys” buying within the platform our preferred programmatic DSP partners
  • Proactively and as requested, develop POVs on changes to digital media landscape and best practices
  • Lead strategy and buying discussions with DSP partners on behalf of clients and in partnership with media strategy teams
  • Provide strategic leadership and facilitate set up of private marketplace and guaranteed programmatic deals
  • Facilitate client and media relationships
  • Attend client meetings
  • Provide regular status updates
  • Schedule and attend media representative meetings
  • Participate in internal team and agency development
  • Mentor and train digital media assistants on programmatic digital buying and trafficking best practices
  • Develop and present agency training presentations on new ideas
  • Attend regular agency education sessions
  • Seek out and attend professional development sessions
  • Reports to Associate Programmatic Media Director and part of the Digital Media Investment team 

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years agency experience with hands-on programmatic media buying and digital trafficking (Campaign Manager, Innovid preferred)
  • DV360, The Trade Desk, Yahoo AdTech and Adelphic/Viant DSP experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of data, data governance, and its applications for building digital media campaigns
  • Experience working with 3rd party marketing/data platforms (Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud, etc.) a plus
  • Experience working with Retail Media Networks preferred
  • Understanding of basic media resources preferred (e.g., MRI Simmons, Pathmatics, Vivvix/Kantar, comScore, etc.)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Confident and resourceful, can function with minimal supervision
  • Has excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Collaborative and positive 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Communications, Marketing/Advertising or equivalent industry experience
  • Ability to travel as needed
