1st shift Direct Hire Delivery Driver

Staffworks is looking for an experienced Delivery Driver to work in our East Syracuse , NY and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of previous delivery driving experience.

Requirements of the 1st shift Direct Hire Delivery Driver

· High School Diploma or GED preferred

· Previous Delivery Driver experience of 1 years driving a delivery van or truck.

· Able to pass a NYS Motor Vehicle Check

· Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

· Maintaining production levels and quality standard

· Ability to lift up to and including 35 pounds needed .

· Ability to bend, lift, twist , crouch , pull, stand an walk.

· Steel toe boots/shoes

● 1st shift , 7am until 3:30pm

● Pay is $18.00 - $22.00 DOE

 Responsibilities of the 1st shift Direct Hire Delivery Driver

Ability to safely operate equipment and to follow all safety policies

· Operates company vehicles in conformance with company regulations and traffic laws to and from company buildings vendors and customers to deliver and pick up parts, supplies, etc.

· Maintains a positive professional approach with all internal and external contacts.

· Loads and unloads vehicles using fork trucks and handcarts as required

· Distributes inter-office mail

· May pack product as specified including certifications and x-ray film in appropriate containers

· Labels containers with customer, part number and quantity information

· Performs routine maintenance and service on vehicles as noted on service log

· Meets quality and quantity standards for the position.

· Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system.

· Adheres to all safety policies and practices, consistently uses personal protective equipment and practices good housekeeping.

· Maintains regular on time attendance and adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

· Maintains a positive professional approach with all internal and external controls.

· Maintains driver’s license in non-poor status for the purposes of conducting deliveries via company owned or leased vehicles.

· Applies classroom and on the job post training information, knowledge, skills, and abilities consistently in a quality oriented manner (wherein the KSAs are part of the jobs tasks, duties and other tasks as requested).

· Performs other tasks as directed.
