Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented Front Desk Assistant with experience in a medical facility to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support and customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and assist with inquiries.
  • Verify patient information, collect necessary paperwork, and update electronic medical records.
  • Coordinate patient check-in and check-out processes, including insurance verification and payment collection.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely delivery of services.
  • Provide information about services, procedures, and policies to patients and visitors.
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Handle patient concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Front Desk Assistant or similar role in a medical facility.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical billing software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is preferred.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • CPR certification and knowledge of basic first aid is advantageous.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 19 per week
