Responsibilities:

· Operate machine, adjusting as required to maintain quality and production requirements.

· Sets up equipment operation feed, speed, and temperature.

· Make adjustments in accordance with established procedures for machine operation.

· Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.

· Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging

operations.

· Work from work orders, samples, specification book, written and verbal instructions.

· Use small hand tools, such as rubber hammer, wrenches, screwdriver, pliers, Allen keys, measuring

tape and weigh scale.

· Assemble and disassemble piping and supporting components necessary for production.

· Check, set controls, and reset as required for proper speed, feed, tension, or other related machine

operation.

· Consistently monitor quality of product to maintain quality standards.

· Pull product samples during production to ensure quality of production.

· Assist with maintaining production log to track detail of daily production.

· Ensure time and required production information is recorded.

· Detect and report defective material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to proper supervision.

· Maintain work and storage area, machine, and related equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

· Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations.

· Maintain workplace housekeeping to provide a safe, clean work environment.

· Willingness to cross-train on position.

· Collaborate with maintenance and QC on any out of service, return to service, deviations, etc.

· Willingness to cross-train on position.

· Ability to visualize possible opportunities for improvement in machinery

· Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed

Skills:

· Must have 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing.

· Must possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments, and responsibilities of the job.

· Must have the ability to analyze capacities and volumes.

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

· Must have good verbal and nonverbal communication skills

· Must have good judgment with decision making regarding Safety and Quality.

· Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor.

· Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training.

· Must comply with the expectations if this role is included as part of the Food Safety or Internal Audit team.

· Strong mechanical and math skills

· Capability to lift 50 lbs.

Education:

· High school or GED equivalency is required

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

• Food Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Machine Operator: 1 year (Required)
