Product Content Engineer

Position Summary

The main function of a Product Content Engineer is to be the subject matter expert on a product through its development. The typical product specialist will provide technical advice to customers concerning their product

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge within the Home Appliance and Electronic Products, both Sales, Product & Customer Care Departments.
  • Manage to enhance service expertise by reviewing service contents for products and functions and providing improvements for service contents.
  • Development, preparation, and critical review of technical reports, technical documents, test procedures, user guides, and installation and maintenance manuals.
  • Analyze current STG status to determine the extent of missing contents for the company
  • Determine models missing from STG
  • Check for content types including Error Codes, Service Guides, Exploded Views, Wire Diagrams, etc.
  • Collaborate with the PI Team to add missing models to STG
  • Prioritize models with high service demand/warranty portion
  • Review Service & Training Manuals and create content for new models before launch
  • Demonstrates the value of a product technology to advance customer's objectives
  • Provides insight and thought leadership to customers concerning the applicability of highly complex products
  • Analyzes and applies industry, competition, and market knowledge to present the positive value of our solutions.
  • Recommends product and service configurations to assist with any system design and integration necessary
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team

Requirements:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in Engineering or Technical Field / Home Appliance field
