Our firm is seeking a well-rounded, highly-motivated litigation paralegal with 3-5 years of experience. This opportunity offers a broad experience base to talented paralegals who wish to join a success driven, vibrant team.
We are looking for a candidate with:
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, insurance defense experience a plus 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superior organization skills with strong attention to detail 
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and good attitude
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently but also as part of a team 
  • Strong time management skills; Must be able to multi-task, complete tasks in a timely manner and accurately, and juggle demanding deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products (Outlooks, Work, Excel, etc.)
  • Typing accuracy and speed of at least 60 WPM

Responsibilities include:
  • Complete dictations timely and efficiently. 
  • Draft pleadings including answers, counterclaims, complaints, and motions
  • Draft and respond to discovery and manage all phases of the discovery process including drafting non-party requests and following up on new and outstanding requests. 
  • Draft and review legal correspondence including thoroughly proofreading for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting. 
  • Manage the attorney’s calendar, including case deadlines, meetings, appointments, and client-related activities.
  • Prepare and process settlement documents
  • Familiar with State and Federal court filings, including submission of electronic filings. 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision. 
  • Prepare exhibits and other documents for court
  • Reviews and routes incoming mail and fax communications. Prepares and processes outgoing mail and faxes, arranging for specialized mail or messenger services as required. 
  • Maintains files by organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files in compliance with internal policies. 
  • Timekeeping, including entering attorney time and expense reporting.
  • Assist attorney with review of pre-bills/invoices. 
  • Answering phones
  • Filing 
  • Copying, scanning, and other administrative work
