Summary
The Production Supervisor’s main objective is to properly organize team members to achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day. The Production Supervisor directs, disciplines, trains, and assists lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting.

Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
3 years’ experience in a bakery/food manufacturing environment
HACCP and first aid certifications required
High school or equivalent
Strong leadership and employee management skills
Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with individuals and in a group setting
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a diverse team environment
Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to proactively exercise judgment and use analytical skills to generate productive outcomes
Proven organizational, planning and priority-setting skills
Be action oriented and provide leadership to employees
Need to demonstrate self-confidence and self-preservation
Self-driven and ability to motivate others
Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner and have common sense
Proficiency in English both in written and oral communication
Advanced Computer knowledge
Good knowledge of advanced mathematical skills
CONSIDERED A PLUS:
Bilingual English & Spanish a plus.
Keeps employees informed as to company/shift plans and progress
Planning is required to effectively manage shift operations
Requires both technical knowledge and administrative and daily interaction with Supervisors, Leads and Production Employees
Proactive mind-set and flexibility are important as well as the ability to work under just-in-time pressures
Develop respective reports to think "Outside the Box" pending catastrophic failure
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Engagement with employees in the plant is required but some work will be in an office environment.
Must be willing/able to perform duties and responsibilities in a food manufacturing environment, adhering to all required food safety protocols.
Safely work independently and around others by following all required site procedures.
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours when required
Ability to walk on flat and uneven surfaces.
Ability to walk up and down stairs
Ability to work in a normal bakery atmosphere and the situations it may expose such as loud noises, strong smells, and dust/flour.
Able to hear; must be alert to sounds of machinery malfunctions; hear alarms and emergency announcements.
