Full time LPN School Health Nurses:

School Health Licensed Practical Nurses are employees of Staffing Etc. and are school-based and responsible for providing direct and indirect health care services for students

• Requires at least 1-2 yrs of School Health, Pediatrics, Home Health, Public Health, Emergency Room, Community Health, and/or Med/Surg experience.
• Previous school health and/or peds experience a plus!
• Registered Nurse with active, non-restricted MD license or compact state license.
• BLS required
• Schedule is Monday-Friday. 8 hour work day

Additional qualifications and attributes:

Experience in working with children and adolescents with varied/extensive health care problems

Knowledge of Maryland laws and statutes that affect and impact the student population within the Prince George's County Public Schools System

Knowledge of professional practice in the delivery of school health services

Knowledge of school organization and the community it serves

Knowledge to assist school personnel in maintaining infection control standards in schools

Knowledge of childhood diseases and how these diseases affect the student/school population

Must be able to impart this knowledge to students, families, and school personnel in a way that is understandable
