Job Description:
This diversified position shall be responsible for daily tasks associated with assuring product Quality. This includes primarily performing duties in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS). Assisting in the development of performance measurements and reporting requirements that set Quality metrics for each stage of the manufacturing process. Create documentation, establish requirements for records management, document control and control of electronic data from inspection processes.
Responsibilities:
1. Delegate tasks as required by Quality Assurance Manager
2. Monitor QMS and help to maintain ISO certification.
3. Assist in coordinating audit plans with external auditors.
4. Perform internal audits, compile, and present findings to management.
5. Act as liaison for external audits including but not limited to, UL, CSA, ETL and ISO.
6. Assist in finding closure for customer concerns and supplier corrective actions.
7. Help to create and update documents for all departments.
8. Assist with the development and planning of the DFMEA and PFMEA.
9. Assist with creation of Control Plans and develop inspection checklists.
10. Assist with calibrations and calibration documentation.
11. Assist with receiving inspections and inspection input.
12. Assist with Audit Yellow Books and Tracking Sheets for completeness.
13. Ensure Customer Documentation is complete by auditing for completeness.
14. Work with team members to resolve corrective actions and to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
15. Assist with Implementation of Risk Management and generate Preventive Actions.
16. Perform quality function of Factory Witness/Acceptance Tests.
17. Ensure Quality and Manufacturing processes are followed.
18. Post Quality, Customer and Manufacturing Quality Alerts.
19. When required, perform paint, weld and electrical inspections.
20. When required, perform close-up/pack-out inspections.
21. When required, travel to customer sites to perform quality checks on field work.
22. Work with other departments to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and that material and equipment have the appropriate documentation
23. Utilize and ensure compliance with project specific and customer required databases.
24. Assist in photographing, storing and circulating equipment photographs.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED minimum.
2. Ability to interpret and implement industrial safety standards.
3. Ability to use test equipment.
4. Ability to efficiently use computers and MS software.
5. Must be willing to work in various work environments and overtime.
6. Must have adequate visual acuity with or without the use of corrective lenses.
7. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
8. Ability to work unsupervised and in group settings.
9. Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
10. Possess work accuracy and good organizational skills.
