Job Description
The Material Handler ensures that materials and equipment are stored properly once received, whether stock or project specific, and identified correctly for their intended use. The Material Handler prepares materials from inventory for use in production, including cutting, kitting, and staging. The Material Handler performs inventory counts as specified and is responsible for the clean and safe storage of all material within the warehouse. Forklift experience
Specific Position Requirements:
- Safely work with all equipment, machines, and tools required for job completion
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
- Perform inventory counts and identify discrepancies.
- Store items in an orderly, accessible, and safe manner.
- Prepare, kit, assemble, and stage materials and equipment for use in production.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Listens and follows directions from leads and supervisors.
- Able to lift 50lbs consistently
- Ability to work 10 hours per day and weekends as required
