Job Summary:
Performs manual and clericalshipping and receiving duties. Uses computer/MRP to track, log, verify, andreport. Receives incoming materials; preparematerials for shipment. Responsibility to (un) pack or (un)wrap finishedproducts, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies,equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and material conformance to statedidentifications. Logs receipts into system, process freight bills, packingsheets, and other documents. Reports materials shipped and bills of lading.Posts weight and shipping charges and routes goods.
Pay ranges between $12.00 - $13.50 depending on shift.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare packaged parts, kits, andmaterials for shipment
• Stage and prepare shippingmaterials, crates, and pallets
• Prepare shipping paperworkincluding verifying documentation, packaging conformance to product
requirements, shipper manifest and bills of lading
• Load and unload delivery trucksincluding verifying package and parts counts, package and/or content
damage, completeness of paperwork, and proper disposal of spentpackaging materials
• Complete shipping/receivingreports
• Support audits, lean, and qualityinitiatives as required
• Familiarize oneself with Primusprocesses and procedures including applicable MRP, Inventory System,
and Business Quality Management System (BQMS) procedures as applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Familiar with computerizedMRP/Inventory/Shipping & Receiving systems
Understand and adhere to propershipping and receiving practices
Blueprint reading and basic mathskills
Good computer skills and ability toquery, monitor, and input MRP system data
Able to be certified with/andoperate a forklift and picker
Maintain staging areas, packagingareas, and loading docks in a clean, orderly manner
Ability to professionallycommunicate and work cooperatively with others
Attention to detail and ability tohandle multiple priorities
Willingness to learn and receivetraining
Education: High school diploma or generaleducation degree (GED)
Language: Ability to read, print, and speaksimple sentences. Recognize similarities and difference between words andbetween series of numbers. Must be able to read product codes andinformation quickly and accurately.
Mathematical: Ability to add/subtract 2digit numbers and multiply/divide 10’s and 100’s.
Reasoning: Ability to apply common senseunderstanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Abilityto deal with standardized situations with only occasional or novariables. Must be able to recognize malfunctions in equipment and notifysupervisors.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move upto 15 lbs., frequently lift and/or move 30lbs., and occasionally lift and/ormove up to 60 lbs.
