Responsibilities:

1. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine project specifications.
2. Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate welding methods, materials, and tools.
3. Perform various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding to join metal components with precision.
4. Inspect welds for quality and ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.
5. Operate cutting equipment such as torches and plasma cutters to prepare metal surfaces for welding.
6. Follow safety protocols and adhere to established procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
7. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
8. Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition through regular maintenance and repairs.
9. Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures and components as needed.
10. Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and project progress.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience (3 years) as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
3. Experience with Military Specifications
4. Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
7. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
8. Familiarity with welding equipment and tools, including welding machines, torches, and plasma cutters.
9. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to welding operations.
10. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
11. Welding certification (e.g., AWS certification) is a plus.
