When ordered prepares andadministers contrast media and / or medications within scope ofpractice. Monitors patient condition continually andreports / responds to changes in status as appropriate.

Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriateexposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safetystandards and performs appropriate quality control procedures onequipment.

Troubleshoots resolves and / or reports equipmentmalfunctions as necessary.

Positions patient andperforms imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifiesissues with the quality of imaging results.

Takes appropriateaction to resolve image quality issues including repositioningpatient and repeating procedure. Enters transmits and reports scanresults.

Relevant Degree (2 or 4 year)

AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
