StaffDash is Hiring a Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) Near Houston, TX
Job description
We are adding CMAs to our portal to be able to work on-demand shifts that matches their weekly schedule. The CMA will be a contractor who'll pick up shifts at big hospitals, ERs, nursing homes, rehab centers...etc. There is no commitment with minimum number of hours. The CMA will not be capped on overtime and can pick up shifts at multiple facilities during the week.
Simply, work when you are available!
Responsibilities:
- Provide routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with lead nurses.
- Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner, using only abbreviations approved by the facility
- Participate in and receive the nursing report upon reporting for duty
- Assist residents with ADLs (activities of daily living) such as: dressing/undressing, daily dental and mouth care (i.e., brushing teeth/dentures, oral hygiene, special mouth care, etc.)
- bath functions (i.e., bed bath, tub or shower bath, etc.)
- hair care functions (i.e., combing, brushing, shampooing, etc.)
- COVID-19 Testing events
Qualifications
- Must be certified by the State of Texas and be current on the State Nurse Aide registry
- Must have a current CPR card
- Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter with job duties assigned
- Knowledge of electronic medical records
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: From $18.00 per hour/Overtime $27 per hour
