Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team. As an MLT, you will play a crucial role in conducting laboratory tests, analyzing results, and providing accurate data to support medical diagnoses and treatment plans. Duties:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist or pathologist
- Collect and process specimens, such as blood, urine, and tissue samples
- Prepare samples for analysis using various laboratory techniques and equipment
- Perform immunoassays and other specialized tests as required
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and quality control
- Analyze test results and report findings to healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to interpret test results and provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in research laboratory activities, including clinical trials and data analysis
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- MLT certification or eligibility for certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and laboratory procedures
- Proficiency in performing venipuncture and specimen collection techniques
- Experience with laboratory management systems and data analysis tools
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and solve problems effectively
