Staff Source is seeking candidates for a client in Hammond, IN and South Chicago, IL areas that are looking for reliable, eager and dedicated individuals to be part of their General Labor team with a starting pay rate of $16-$20 per hour. The General Labor position may lead to a temporary to permanent opportunity based on company needs, performance and attendance.
Job Duties:
- Prepare products to be received or shipped from warehouse
- Properly identify and tag material
- Receive and record computer entries for all inbound materials
- Unload, unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages
- Package and prepare finished goods and other materials for shipment
- Perform work safely and in accordance with company standards and safety regulation
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Ability to succeed while handling multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work 8-10hr shifts on first AND second shift
- Ability to stand, bend and twist for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail, flexible and reliable
- Capability to work independently while maintaining a positive team atmosphere
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Rotating shift
