Payrate: $40 - $45 /hour

Location: Waterloo, IA

Approved Duration: 24 Months

Accessibility: Onsite

Shift Days: Monday – Friday

Shift Hours: 7AM – 3:30PM

Description:

This will be a 1st shift (7 am to 3:30 pm) position with overtime likely.
Manager is willing to see recent grad candidates with Technology/Engineering degrees.
Manager is looking for December 2022 grads that are located in the Midwest.
This is a shop floor position so candidates need to be comfortable in this environment.

Manager is open to considering candidates with a 2-year technical degree:

Fresh grad with electrical or PLC programming experience/background.
Open to a candidate with 2-year degree with this experience.

This position is eligible for incremental, progressive retention bonuses at every 90 days for the first year on assignment. Retention bonuses are forfeited for those who do not complete their assignments or end assignments early. Subject to review.

Duties: John Deere, Factory Automation Engineering Services is seeking a Factory Automation Manufacturing Engineer at John Deere Waterloo Works.

In this role you will:

Provide on-site shop floor support for production critical Factory Automation solutions and equipment that require quick response to guarantee uptime and productivity.
Be responsible for changes to control logic and software including, but not limited to: relay ladder logic, PLCs, HMIs, and PC based logic.
Provide electrical designs within applicable standards to build new, or modify existing, production machines and systems.
Create and maintain interfaces for communicating with shop-floor tools, PLC controls, SCADA, and MES systems
Work with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Factory Automation Leads to ensure manufacturing and standardization goals are achieved.
Support off-shift maintenance to troubleshoot machines and systems which may include electrical and mechanical issues.
