Job Title: Lead Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Location: WTR (Midland, Texas), occasional travel to other regions
Salary: $90,000-$110,000
Job Overview:
Inceed is partnered with an established Upstream Oil and Gas company seeking a highly skilled Lead Regulatory Compliance Specialist with expertise in the oil and gas sector. This role primarily supports corporate environmental regulatory compliance activities in WTR (Midland) while also providing assistance to other regions as necessary. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ensuring adherence to environmental regulations, supporting due diligence assessments, and assisting in crisis management situations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and ensure adherence to corporate environmental regulatory activities, policies, and procedures, with a focus on WTR (Midland) while assisting other regions as required.
  • Environmental Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive reviews and assessments for acquisitions, divestitures, and operational properties to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Emergency Response Assistance: Provide expertise and support in environmental crisis management and emergency response plans, especially concerning spills and other environmental incidents.
  • Regulatory Guidance: Offer regulatory assistance and guidance to company personnel as needed to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Training and Development: Develop and conduct training programs related to environmental compliance, ensuring that staff is well-versed in regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5-10 years of experience in environmental and/or oil and gas operations, preferably in a regulatory compliance capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations pertaining to the oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to work in varied environments, including office settings and fieldwork, with proficiency in operating environmental testing and sampling equipment.
  • Strong physical capability to navigate rough terrain, climb ladders or steps, and lift heavy equipment (50 to 60 pounds) to waist level.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle operation requirements for travel.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Travel and Education Requirements:
  • Must be available for travel and able to meet company standards for driving a Company vehicle.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related science field OR a minimum of 5-10 years of corresponding environmental and/or oil and gas operations related experience.
