This Product Support Engineer will be responsible for the support and sustaining of existing products throughout the Staco product line, utilizing internal and external resources as necessary to ensure product issues are resolved in a timely manner. Occasional travel may be required.

Duties include the following. Others may be assigned.

1. Provide technical support to customers or other departments as required.

2. Work closely with all departments to ensure products and processes are maintained and issues affecting product quality or manufacturability are resolved quickly.

3. Implement new product design as identified.

4. Implement product improvements as identified.

5. Implement product cost improvements as identified.

6. Create test specifications and provide test and manufacturing support as required.

7. Assist in the development of new standard and custom products, including safety agency (UL, CSA).

8. Maintain installation and operating instruction manuals.

9. Initiate, coordinate, and/or process Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Temporary Variance Allowances (TVA’s).

10. Coordinate with other departments to resolve problems in production or with purchased parts.

Requirements

BSEE/BSEET with 1 year of experience in electronics, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with UPS, Inverter, DC Power Supplies and Battery Chargers is a plus. Specific experience with three-phase power is desirable.
