Stacey DePasquale Engineering, Inc. is Hiring an Environmental Technician Near Springfield, MA

Stacey DePasquale Engineering, Inc. (SDE), a well-established, privately-held civil and environmental engineering company in northeastern Massachusetts, is seeking Environmental Technician Interns to join our team in continuing our efforts to make measurable improvements to the water quality in New England. Our organization is team-oriented and the company is built on the strength of our people and our expertise, our reliability and our absolute integrity. This position would run roughly April - September 2024.

The successful candidates must have a positive attitude and a willingness to foster good working relationships within the company, with our clients and in the community at large. The ability to work effectively, efficiently, responsibly, reliably and independently is crucial as is the ability to think critically and formulate follow up/next step decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Physical inspection and confirmation of service lines in private homes and businesses in Towns and Cities throughout Western and Central Massachusetts.

Engineering data compilation and reduction that includes, but is not limited to,

accurately recording results from all field work performed, photo organization, client communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Working knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, mobile applications and the ability to learn and work with customized programs and other technologies;
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight and work non-traditional hours (nights and weekends) on occasion.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $22.44 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
