Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer Assistant III to join our team in the El Segundo, CA. Description: The Systems Engineer Assistant III defines and contributes to solving any risk or implementation challenges impacting the ability to integrate, design, and engineer systems and software through a set of fully integrated models that are compliant with the current Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF). They perform tasks to interface with and support mission partners' systems engineering efforts to fulfill this requirement. They collaborate to integrate and synchronize development project hardware and software changes with interfacing systems and subsystems. They review and analyze research and analyses to identify options to increase interoperability and compatibility internally with mission partners' subsystems/components and externally with interfacing systems or within systems of systems by considering Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) techniques and methods. They collaborate with performance improvement professionals to ensure adoption of new operational concepts whenever systems are replaced, replenished, or augmented. They support the research and analysis efforts for emerging technologies from a standards, performance, and nonfunctional analysis perspective, including general product assessment, implementation planning, testing and evaluation, tuning, and key performance indicator (KPI) identification. They collect and define requirements and compare them to design documents as well as participate in technical reviews. They participate in integration efforts and work with users and peers in planning, developing, implementing, and supporting new or existing systems. The Systems Engineer Assistant III is a senior role with extensive experience in meeting challenges associated with software builds and deployments. The Systems Engineer Assistant III supervises, and mentors subordinate project and Team ManTech staff. Basic Qualifications: A minimum of five (5) years of systems engineering experience. Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline. (Can be substituted for a HS diploma with 13 years of experience or an Associate’s degree with 11 years of experience.) Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in STEM or related discipline. International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certifications. Clearance Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Eligible clearance is required prior to starting this position. Must be a US Citizen. Physical Requirements: The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations. For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
