Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated career and customer-oriented Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) II in Glen Burnie, MD. The MBSE II’s primary function is to use model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to develop and integrate Systems Modeling Language (SysML)-compliant models and produce DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts for DoD’s Military Services and Agencies’ IT and C6ISR systems. The Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) II takes direction from more senior personnel. Performance shall include: Build SysML-compliant models with tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler within a Digital Engineering Environment (DEE). Use methods and techniques to build models for use in analysis of alternatives as requested. Build parametric models and other SysML diagrams to inform optimization of system performance against cost, risk, and performance constraints. Work with Engineers from other disciplines to use model-based Multidisciplinary Optimization and Analysis (MDAO) capability to assist with technology research within our DEE. Adjust system models based on inputs and outputs for other disciplines’ mathematical and model-driven simulations to explore system performance characteristics. Create Change Requests and builds models to assess change impacts based on Technology Research outputs. Contribute to the identification of risks, issues, and opportunities of emerging technologies. Review and comment on technology research reports to ensure data-driven, evidenced-based recommendations to report and present IRR and presentations that serve as the initial project stage (Phase 0) to inform NSIN’s development of TDLs. Required Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited program and 4 or more years of experience. 2 years of position-specific relevant experience. Experience with MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, CATIA, or other SysML/Modeling tools. Strong problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills are essential. A High School Diploma and 8 years of experience or an Associates and 6 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a Degree. A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education. Desired Education and Experience: OCSMP SysML Certifications. INCOSE Certifications. A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Method (OOSEM). Ability to work in a distributed team environment. Knowledge and understanding of Software Intensive Systems or Information Communication Technology (ICT) systems. Strong preference for candidates with experience modeling or simulating systems within DoD domains. Security Clearance: Current Top-Secret Clearance is required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
