St Vincents Services Inc is Hiring a Case Aide, New Brighton Near Brooklyn, NY

HeartShare is looking for Case Aides in our Residential and Housing Programs.


Responsibilities
:

  • Provides routine clerical support to program staff including filing, completion and documentation of daily reports; files casework documents and NOCs; assists in data entry on departmental automation systems of documentation and statistical information.
  • Assist with collecting the daily census from all four Healing Home Programs in order to track NOC’s.
  • Assist with collecting all AWOCs and incident reports in a timely manner in order to complete NOC’s within a 48 hour time period.
  • Assist in creating systems for the Healing Home Program in order to track and submit invoices and documentation in a time manner.
  • When necessary, schedules appointments for and escorts clients to outside services and resources.
  • Accompany, supervise and transport clients to retrieve vital documents.
  • When necessary, assist the Case Planning staff in meeting professional standards
  • Attend and participate in programmatic meeting to prepare minutes or summaries of meetings and send out follow ups and reminders
  • Contributes to planning and scheduling of recreational events, including ethno-cultural activities and overnight out-of-state trips.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or Equivalent, Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Valid NYS driver’s license
  • Clerical and record-keeping skills.
  • Computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point etc.
  • Good communication (oral and written), as well as good Interpersonal Skills
  • Organized and efficiently coordinate work and schedules.
  • Experience in working with diverse communities, and Knowledge of multicultural issues, including race, class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender expression, etc.
  • Must exhibit maturity and control of emotions, plus firmness and warmth, in order to command the respect and confidence of the clients and staff.
