St. Vincent's is Hiring a Full Time Employment Specialist Near Westchester, NY

Our PROS program is a group-based, recovery-oriented program designed to help people with significant mental health challenges to create meaningful lives in the community. The Employment Specialist is a key member of a dedicated, collaborative, multidisciplinary team that takes the lead in helping participants develop and learn the skills they need to support their employment and educational goals. Through individual and group interventions, the ES assesses client strengths and job readiness before helping clients develop relevant individualized recovery plans. The ES assists the Program Director and other team members in enhancing and improving vocational services in the program, works on developing a positive and supportive relationship with current employers through both phone contact and off-site visits, while also developing a network of potential new community-based employers and volunteer opportunities for program participants. In addition, the ES is responsible for overseeing and utilizing online portals designed to track the implementation of employment services (NYESS, IPS), and to document services in the program's electronic health record. Other related responsibilities as determined by the needs of the program and the Program Director may be required. The ideal candidate will have excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills, and prior experience in a behavioral health setting with a specialty in vocational training.

Bachelor's degree in human services field required, Master's degree preferred.

Salary range $55,000 - $65,000
