Position Summary:

St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Blue Springs, Missouri is seeking a Director of Youth Faith Formation. This position will support the pastor in leading the staff and lay volunteers in strengthening the Catholic faith of the youth in our parish from pre-school through young adults. This is a full-time, exempt position based upon a schedule of 40 hours per week.

Essential Duties:

*Implement and lead Religious Education program

· Plan and coordinate all youth faith formation activities through speakers, classes, and retreats.

· Prepare budget, assess faith needs, and train volunteers.

· Oversee the education and faith formation of children of non-parochial school families.

· Oversee sacramental preparation for Baptism, First Reconciliation, and First Holy Communion

· Oversee on-site ministry to children, including Children’s Liturgy of the Word.

· Facilitate and oversee Sixth grade Confirmation program.

· Communicate effectively, verbal and written, in a clear, consistent manner with all ages.

· Exhibit attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. 

· Handle and organize competing priorities.

· Build relationships through collaboration and teamwork; earn other’s trust and respect.

Qualifications:

Required:

· Intermediate to advanced skills in all Microsoft Office products.

· Open availability, including evenings and weekends.

· Minimum three (3) years' experience working for the Catholic Church.

· Practicing Catholic with ethical standards, personal integrity and conduct consistent with the 

morals and teachings of the Catholic Church.

Preferred:

· Undergraduate degree in Theology, Education, Evangelization, or a related field.

· Experience in managing social media platforms. 

· Familiarity with efforts associated with New Evangelization.
