VOCALIST / LEADER OF SONG

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church & UMass D Episcopal Campus Ministry

ST. PETER’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, a progressive, welcoming, LGBTQIA friendly, forward-thinking faith community (located in Dartmouth, MA) is seeking a Vocalist / Leader of Song. This is a PAID position. The candidate would also be available to provide music for events for our on-campus UMASS DARTMOUTH EPISCOPAL CAMPUS MINISTRY.

RESPONSIBILITES:

· The Leader of Song is part of a group rotation of vocalists

· Leads the congregation in song at our 10:00AM Sunday Service of Holy Eucharist (which includes our UMass Dartmouth Episcopal Campus Ministry) at least 2 Sundays per month and as needed on other occasions

· Attends rehearsal when scheduled prior to worship service on Sundays from 8:30AM to 9:30AM

· Would also be available to lead song for UMass Dartmouth Episcopal Campus Ministry worship events as needed

· Must complete a CORI (criminal background check) and online “Safe Church” Training

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Familiarity with contemporary and progressive styles of music

· Strong, clear and welcoming singing voice

· The ability to read music and work as part of a team

· Experience as a vocal leader

· Familiarity with computers and office equipment

· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to be prompt and on time

INTERESTED CANDIATES

· This is paid position and candidate reports directly to Rector and Director of Music

· Compensation is generous and competitive and is based on experience

Pay: $75.00 - $125.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week

• Dartmouth, MA 02748: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
