St. Paul's Lutheran School, a private LCMS Christian School, is seeking a passionate and qualified elementary school teacher to join our dedicated team. We are looking for someone that has a strong background in education, a deep understanding of Christian values, and the ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment for students.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the school's curriculum and Lutheran educational principles.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

Classroom Management:

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and a love of learning.
• Implement effective behavior management techniques to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.

Spiritual Development:

• Integrate Christian teachings and values into daily lessons to support the spiritual growth of students.
• Organize and participate in chapel services, devotions, and other spiritual activities.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.

Parent and Community Engagement:

• Establish open and effective communication with parents to keep them informed about their child's academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with colleagues, attend parent-teacher conferences, and participate in school events.

Professional Development:

• Stay current with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and Lutheran educational principles.
• Actively participate in professional development opportunities provided by the school.

Supervision and Extracurricular Activities:

• Supervise students during various school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Participate in or lead various extracurricular activities throughout the school year

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field
• State teaching certification or equivalent
• Understanding and commitment to Christian educational principles.
• Previous experience teaching in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
