About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for working with students with disabilities in meeting the academic, behavioral and physical needs as identified in the goals, supports of services of the IEP in either an individual or small group setting under the direction of the special education, classroom teacher or bus service personnel; maintain confidentiality of student and family information as required under FERPA. Start date: ASAP
Contract: 174 days
Schedule: Monday-Friday, varied shifts available (3.25 hours, 6.5 hours, or 8 hours)
Requirements & Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of post-secondary education or successful completion of the ParaPro; ability to work with staff and an educational team to provide services to students with disabilities; previous experience in working with students or adults with disabilities preferred.
Salary & Benefits
