QIDP Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The QIDP is responsible for the coordination and implementation of each Individual Program Plan (IPP) for the residents in their caseload.

The QIDP schedules, chairs, and takes minutes of all IPP meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings and reviews all written IPPs to insure they are accurate and consistent with Title XIX regulations.

The QIDP is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the individual program plans, training objectives for each resident in their caseload, and remains aware of the location and status of all residents in their caseload.

The QIDP attends and participates in all individualized education planning (IEP) meetings for the residents in their caseload. The QIDP also attends and participates in all dormitory and/or group home meetings for the residents in their caseload.

The QIDP schedules and chairs quarterly interdisciplinary team meetings to review progress and significant events for all residents in their caseload. The QIDP also schedules and chairs interdisciplinary team meetings as needed (e.g. at parent or resident request), but no less than quarterly.

The QIDP is responsible for observing their residents in all environments and at different times to insure program fidelity.

The QIDP serves as the primary contact person for all parents/guardians, school officials, and other professionals, and takes action to remedy problems or complaints with the concurrence of the Programs Director.

· Education: A Masters degree in behavior analysis, education, or psychology is preferred. A Bachelors degree in behavior analysis, education, or psychology will be considered based on experience and certifications.

· Experience: Experience in writing individualized plans of care for people diagnosed with developmental disabilities and/or case management experience is required. Experience in using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is desired.
