Brief DescriptionSt. Mary’s Hospital for Children, in Bayside, Queens, NY, a technologically innovative healthcare system providing state-of-the art care to children with complex medical conditions in our inpatient and community programs, is seeking a highly skilled Azure and DevOps Engineer who will contribute to our exciting Analytics initiatives that will facilitate informed tactical and strategic decision-making.
Mastery of Azure development tools and services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure App Service, and Azure SQL Database Azure DevOps, is essential.
Experience in Data Governance, Systems Analysis, and Project Management is advantageous.
Roles And Responsibilities
  • Create data-driven workflows and transformations utilizing Azure Data Factory ETL / ELT tools and integration services
  • Perform in-depth analysis of healthcare data using advanced SQL queries and other analytical tools, e.g. SQL, Python, and R
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for Azure DevOps services, ensuring smooth operation of CI/CD pipelines and efficient collaboration across development teams.
  • Leverage Azure data management tools and services to implement effective governance practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional clinical and business teams in developing data models
  • Employ project management and systems analysis and implementation skills
RequirementsQualifications and Technical Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Azure, Python, and R
  • Strong proficiency in Azure DevOps tools and methodologies, with expertise in CI/CD pipeline management and infrastructure as code practices.
  • Expertise with data modeling, warehousing, ETL processes, and visualization tools, e.g., Power BI
  • Proficiency in Azure environments and related data analytics and management services
  • Knowledge of healthcare data interoperability standards, e.g., HL7, FHIR
  • 5 years in data engineering and analysis; 3 years in Healthcare
