St. Mary Parish in Woodstock is looking to hire a part time Music Director. The following are the duties and responsibilities of this position:

• Schedule cantors and accompanists
• Choose music for all Masses both traditional and contemporary
• Coordinate with brides to plan wedding music
• Work with the Liturgist to communicate any changes as needed
• Establish and grow choirs (adult and children)
• Responsible for musical leadership at all weekend liturgies (keyboard, vocal and choral needs)
• Attend meetings with the pastor as needed

Successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Choral conducting experience and proficiency with piano
• Ability to pass background check which may include fingerprinting, drug testing, and credit history
• Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Degree in music or liturgy or related field preferred
• Knowledge of Catholic Mass and Liturgy
