OVERVIEW:

Drives bus to transport Residents over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule by performing the following duties. Blood and body fluids exposure: Category III.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Keeps confidential all information not specifically authorized to be given to others.
• Assists residents with entering and exiting the bus.
• Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
• Complies with traffic regulations.
• Report delays or accidents.
• Inspects bus and checks gas, oil, and water before departure.
• Reports mechanical problems with bus to Manager immediately.
• Maintains a gas log on a daily basis. Responsible to forward gas slips to Manager.
• Maintains a clean, fresh appearance of both interior and exterior of all vehicles.
• Reports any unusual conduct of Residents to Manager.
• Must be qualified and willing to do general maintenance.
• Observes and follows safety policies and procedures.
• Observes and follows infection control policies and procedures.
• Attends all mandatory in-services as required.
• Demonstrates positive guest relations to internal and external customers.
• Team Members are required to report to their Department Director all incidents of actual or possible abuse of a Resident that they become aware of. Abuse in this respect includes, but is not limited to, verbal, sexual, physical, and/or mental abuse, corporal punishment, involuntary seclusion, neglect, and/or any misappropriation of property concerning St. Mark Village Residents. Team Members will make the report as soon as possible after they become aware of the incident of actual or possible abuse.
• May be assigned other related duties and responsibilities as required by Maintenance Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have a good driving record for the past three years and be good reliable person.

REQUIRED SKILL, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with a (P) Passenger endorsement, or Class C CDL.
