St. Madeleine Sophie School in Bellevue, WA is seeking qualified applicants for a Middle School Language Arts position for the 2024-2025 school year. Responsibilities will include both teaching Language Arts classes and other Middle School classes. Class size is expected to be approximately 15-24 students. We seek an energetic, active, self-starter who is willing to grow into the role, demonstrating an ability to effectively design and manage a contemporary classroom environment and build strong, positive communications with parents.
While the teaching assignment includes the responsibility to plan and manage the full spectrum of core standards, the unique inclusive education model for our program requires a demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for a wide range of student needs. We are looking for a successful candidate to possess solid training in elementary education.
Additional background in special education, plus a knowledge and talent in the area of instructional technology is highly desired. Training in current instructional techniques and innovative learning theory, including a working familiarity with Washington State’s Learning Standards is highly desired. A practicing Catholic candidate with some history in, and familiarity with, private school education, is desired. An ability to help contribute to the design of our growing school and become an integral member of the team for the long term is essential.
