The Financial Optical Clerk is responsible for the optical maintenance of patient financial data on the HBOC Imager Manager system(s), Laser Split, and Laser Arc including scanning, indexing, and data retrieval. Ensures the accuracy of the data downloaded and/or scanned on the Image Manager system. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the overall maintenance of data stored on the financial Image Manager system(s) Handles the timely scanning, indexing and data retrieval of the financial documents from the Imager Manager system(s) Maintains files and/or tables associated with the financial data on the Image Manager system(s) Responsible for the timely distribution of bills, claims, reports and/or other financial documents to the finance staff Handles all requests for financial information i.e. bills, claims, reports and other essential financial information that is stored on the Image Manager system(s) PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time. Continuously fingering and handling for data entry, typing, etc., and occasional twisting and turning. Uses upper extremities for occasional lifting and carrying of up to 10 lbs. Frequently stoops, bends, or reaches above shoulder level to retrieve files. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation and telephone. Seeing as it relates to general vision. Visual monotony when reading reports and viewing computer screen. EDUCATION: High school graduate required or equivalent. Must be able to speak, read and write English. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Experience with working on a personal computer using Windows 3.1 and/or up is required. One year experience in a hospital similar medical facility or physicians office is preferred. Please complete your application using your full legal name and current home address.
