Job Description

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park, KS is seeking a part-time Weekend Option Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit.

Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park is seeking Registered Nurse to join our progressive care unit team in the Weekend Option role. We are looking for positive nurses who enjoy working with a team, passionate about helping others expand their skill sets and is patient centered. Saint Luke’s South is proudly a Primary Stroke Center as well as STEMI receiving center. It delivers high-quality health care to Johnson County, Kansas, and the surrounding communities. It has been certified by The Joint Commission in orthopedic joint replacement for hip and knee.

Shift Details

  • Weekends
  • Day Shift
  • 6:45am-7:15pm (2 shifts per weekend)

The Work:

  • Utilizes the nursing process
  • Performs patient care, delegates patient care tasks, and supervises patient care staff
  • Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures
  • Completes thorough assessments, performs medication administration, develops a holistic plan of care, drain management, post-procedural or post-operative management
  • Expected to complete tasks timely, including charting, making patient care the number one priority in a teamwork setting and having excellent communication skills and a compassionate heart
