Job Description

Saint Luke’s South Hospital is currently hiring an Inpatient Pharmacist.
This position is an inpatient pharmacist position working in multiple clinical areas including ICU, ED, Telemetry, Medical Intermediate, Med Surg and Central Pharmacy. Individuals interested in our integrated staffing model should demonstrate both clinical and operational skills, work well with interdisciplinary teams, complete projects as they arise, support committees, and be interested in teaching students. This pharmacist will need to support a positive work environment and be willing to go above and beyond to deliver care to patients.
Shift Details: Full time pharmacist works 40 hours per week that includes 80% evenings and 20% day shift. This position is in the holiday rotation of 1-2 holidays per year. There is no weekend staffing requirement.
The Work:
• Collect, organize and analyze patient and practice specific information
• Initiate and monitor therapeutic plans
• Work with interdisciplinary teams
• Process electronic medication orders
• Prepare and dispense medications
• Supervise support personnel
• Complete projects and support committees
• Provide routine patient teaching and drug information services
We are seeking a patient focused, detail oriented, professional with a passion for healthcare. To be successful, you must enjoy working with an engaged team completing challenging work. Hospital experience, residency, board certification in pharmacotherapy preferred, but not required.
