JOB SUMMARY
The Registration Services Representative is responsible for providing support to facilitate patient access into the St. Luke's Hospital system by performing the pre-registration, registration and insurance verification functions.
All communications are conducted in a manner consistent with positive patient relations and to protect the fiscal interest of the organization.
All Registration Services Representatives may be scheduled for all shift rotations all functions.
The unscheduled employee will be required, at management request, to work eight (8) hours per month and available to work thirty (30) to forty (40) hours per week during their initial orientation period.
Excellent follow through abilities to determine complete and accurate patient billing information. Communication activities promoting positive patient relations and prompt reimbursement.
Ability to problem solve. READING - Intermediate : Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
WRITING - Basic : Ability to write simple correspondence. SPEAKING - Basic : Ability to speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills : Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
