Registered Nurse PRN:
Position: Cancer and Infusion Center.
Location: Columbus, NC.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer’s health or situation.
- Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
- Implement strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
- Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Practices ethically.
- Performs and/or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures.
- Administers medication.
- Knowledge of and technical expertise in both administration and specific interventions associated with anti-neoplastic agents.
- Recognize medication and solution incompatibilities and factors affecting stability.
- Calculate BSA (body surface area) per department protocol.
- Knowledgeable of vesicants and irritants and protocols for intervention.
- Knowledgeable of all aspects of vascular access devices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Oncology and/or infusion experience in the physician's office setting is preferred.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification through the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) is required to practice.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse or temporary license in the State of North Carolina or South Carolina. Certification in oncology nursing (OCN) is required within two years of the date of hire. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to American Heart Association. OCN preferred. Oncology experience is required.
- Machines/Tools/Equipment: Those required by the practice. Includes blood pressure manometer, stethoscope, thermometer, personal protective equipment, wheelchairs, and related clinical equipment. Also includes standard office equipment.
