St. Luke’s Hospital has a new opportunity for an experienced PRN emergency room nurse! Our hospital is one of the very few critical access hospitals in the country that earned 5 stars in patient satisfaction from CMS in 2020 and we need YOU to help us get to the next level! In this role, you will be part of a progressive team dedicated to advancing the goals of the hospital, meeting the needs of our rural community, and providing outstanding care to our patients. Essential Functions:
Essential Functions:
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintains current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and his/her clinical condition.
- Demonstrates the ability to assist physicians with procedures in the Emergency Department.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NCI certification with TNCC preferred.
